Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Yes it is clear, and you are wrong, Man Utd fans are not going to drive up the price of a ticket in the home end for a midweek league game. The price will be purely driven by desperate home fans who were too naive to get a ST, touts and scumbags willing to rip off their fellow fans.

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Must admit, I'm with 66 here. Not my thing, but he could easily have got a long way north of £500 by putting it on viagogo or one of the ticket websites

Ok Trev I thought it was clear what Im trying to say but I'll leave it at that

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
I'm not disputing that some idiot will get himself striped up for 500 notes, what I'm saying is it has absolutely nothing to do with THEIR fans. Cup finals are a different thing completely.

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Trev come on you know that people have more money than sense.

Tickets for this weekend are changing hands for 150 quid.

Its not beyond reason that people will pay 500 or more for the munichs

I know you don't believe it but I can only tell you what I've seen and know.

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
A Man Utd fan is going to pay £500 to sit in the home end for a league game on a Tuesday night? Do lay off.

Not sure why you are mentioning cup finals in the same breath as a midweek league game, completely different scenarios.

You're welcome.

DANNY66 8:50 Thu Mar 31
Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Because they will pay that price Trev and more so it sets a guide of how much people are willing to pay to attend the game.

For example last cup game when we drew 2-2 the munichs were on green st offering 200 quid for a ticket.

And you're telling me other fans don't peruse this board.

When we played the scousers in the cup final there were some on here trying to get tickets.

Nice capital letters by the way

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
What have THEIR fans got to do with it? He is asking for £500 from West Ham fans on a West Ham message board.

DANNY66 8:28 Thu Mar 31
Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
When the munichs are in town ticket prices will go sky high.
There fans pay anything.
Take into account what the game could mean for league position and its last game at The Boleyn its not surprising he has asked for 500 notes.

As for season tickets when I've had mine spare they have always gone for face or a donation has been requested for BMF.

As for all this West Ham family shit. Some of you on here probably rung the ob hotline after wall game to dob people in so fuck you.

If I know you I'll help you out as much as I can to get a ticket.

Personally I think the bloke being banned is pathetic

Gold and Sullivan have ripped bods off for years and they're lauded as West Ham supporters, good luck to anyone else doing the same...

"Who in their right mind would pay £500 for a league game"
---------------------------------------------------------
Maybe somebody that £500 means very little to?

There are a surprising number of people out there who have tons of money and would just as easily pay £5000 if they wanted it, and not think anything of it.

All a matter of (financial) perspective.

I was actually enquiring into the difference between a single match day ticket and a season ticket.

As far as mates go, I'd like to think a proper mate would offer something for it.

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
All to their own... I am going to all remaining home games but if I was not going I would offer it to my mate, when I split up from the ex he kept me on the straight and invited me in for Christmas... He is a West Ham fan but cannot afford a ST.

As I have box tickets for the semi & final I will be applying for tickets and I will offer them to him at face value.

"Unless it's to family, why on gods green earth would someone give their season ticket to someone for free? "

I guess someone hasn't any mates, no real shock considering this blokes POV

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Garth, that's why asking face value is ok. Nobody ever ups the price so anyone who wants one can get one without getting fleeced, otherwise it certainly is touting which I think is actually worse when it's to a West Ham fan.

Who is a more deserving fan I up to you but arguing over who is the better supporter is nonsense.

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Because someone is your friend and you'd like to do them a favour? I never charge when giving it to a mate.

I've sold my ST on Ticket Trader a couple of times this season and frankly I've felt a bit mucky for not giving it to a mate.

Many people consider an ST 'paid for', rather than it 'costing' £X per match.

There seems to be different rules to those of a single match ticket for some reason.

If you bought a single match ticket and could no longer make it, you'd look to recoup the money right?

It seems customary to some people that given the same situation, but with a season ticket, should simply let someone have it for nothing?

Why?

Re: Asking £500 For Man U Game
Ernest,

I've given my s/tkt away for nothing when I know I'll be away. I originally stated that everything has a price, no matter what it is. Just don't understand people who've not been for years, then crawl out of the woodwork and ponce on here for a ticket for the last ever game and expect to pay face value. Fuck 'em.
